Appointments and Services at Lyme Bay Medical Practice

We are here to help you get the right care from the right person at the right time. We offer phone, video, and face-to-face appointments to help with new health problems and long-term conditions.

Depending on what you need, your care may include:

  • Simple advice on how to treat your symptoms at home
  • Treatment or tests at the surgery
  • A referral to a specialist clinic

Seeing your doctor: You can ask to see your preferred doctor. Seeing the same doctor is helpful for ongoing health conditions. If you need urgent care today, you might need to see the first available clinician instead.

Running on time: We try our best to run on time. However, medical emergencies happen, and appointments can run late. Thank you for your patience if you have to wait.

Note: Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive late, we may not be able to see you, and you will need to rebook for another day.

Urgent ('Triage') Appointments

If you have an urgent medical problem that cannot wait:

  1. Call us: Phone 01297 445777 or 01297 443399 between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon.
  2. Tell us your symptoms: Our trained reception team will ask brief questions so they can direct you to the right person.
  3. Wait for a callback: A nurse practitioner will call you back that morning.

Please keep your phone turned on, stay in an area with good signal, and be ready to answer. Clinicians cannot make multiple attempts to call you.

If your issue cannot be sorted out over the phone, the nurse will arrange the next best step. This may mean ordering a prescription or asking you to come into the surgery today.
